The same entities are ‘in charge’ and 'giving orders' that have been for over 60 years; The military/industrial complex and the national security agencies; i.e. the deep state. The ‘congress’ is out of the picture because it intentionally shirked its responsibility decades ago. This country is not the founder’s republic, it is not a constitutional democracy, it is a totalitarian imperial police State. To pretend otherwise is just an indulgence in delusional self-deception.

Correct. The "American Dream" died shortly after WWII when the CIA was created. Although I suppose one can find reasons for asserting the failure of the "America" concept even earlier, perhaps as soon as a few years after the Founding when Shay's Rebellion was put down with cannon.

The stupid part of this is that the question assumes that Biden was EVER in charge. He's just a front person, like every President. He can't go against the real PTB. Neither can Trump. Kennedy tried, slightly. And where's he now?
