Every Dollar Will Be Matched: Support Antiwar.com Today!

A group of our generous friends has offered $40,000 to support Antiwar.com, but we need to raise that amount in individual donations to secure the matching funds.

This is an opportunity to double your support for Antiwar.com to help us track the dangerous escalations in the Middle East, as the U.S. may be on the brink of war with Iran.

Please make a tax-deductible donation today!

  1. A question, if anyone knows – are donations to antiwar.com tax-deductible only in the United States, or in other countries like the UK and Canada as well ?

I could look on the Canadian Revenue Agency website but I don't want to give the CRA any Views.

      1. Cool thanks. May be a solid CDN$100 in the bank for the site if so ! On a good day that might be nearly US$61 !!! (Ha ha – only twice in my life do I remember the CDN$ outpacing the US$. And boy didn’t we flock across the line to Trader Joe’s !!!

        1. Per Eric Garris:

“Unless the country has some sort of recognition of US nonprofit status, it would not work for non-US citizens. I am not aware of any sort of recognition in any other country.”

          BUT!

So, maybe. I personally find tax stuff infuriatingly confusing, so I’m not able to sort all that out for you other than to say that Antiwar.com is, as part of the Randolph Bourne Institute, a US 501(c)(3) non-profit.

Thanks for being interested in trying!

          1. New tidbit, third hand from an accountant:

In Canada, you can only deduct donations to US 501(c)(3) non-profits from your taxable income if you earn a certain percentage of that income from a US source. So if you live in Canada but work online for a US company, or travel to the US and work part of the year here, etc., you get the deduction, but if all your income is from within Canad, you don’t.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, and again, thanks for thinking of us.
