I’m always getting emails that go something like this:
“Hey Scott, what the heck ever happened to Charles Goyette?! We’re sick and tired of you, yada, yada, yada…”
Well a blogger named Mark Yannone has outdone all of you:
October 11, 2005: A year into his award-winning stint at KXXT 1010 AM, Charles Goyette reviewed highlights of some of the accumulated evidence of the criminal behavior of the Bush administration. It was seditious talk like this that had gotten this truth-seeking gentleman of peace and reason removed from KFYI 550 AM the year before. “Charles Goyette presents Bush administration crimes”
June 13, 2008: Charles Goyette completed his last day at KFNX 1100 AM, the fourth and final radio station in the Phoenix, Arizona, market to “kick the commie bastard off the air.” That was the best description my neighbors could come up with when they heard this internationally acclaimed talk show host reveal the truth about the lying warmonger in the White House and his lying enablers in Washington. In contrast, Cindy Sheehan called to thank him and to bid him farewell. Charles asks once again that we “bring ’em home.” Charles Goyette: Bring ‘Em Home”
Today Americans, Iraqis, Afghans, Brits, and other coalition forces are still fighting and dying, and Americans are paying hundreds of billions of dollars annually for it — priceless lives, and money we don’t have — spent for nothing.
I’m in agreement with Mr. Yannone. Goyette show rules.
For the record, Charles is still doing great and is dying to get back into the radio game. The only trouble is that he’s spent much of the last year putting together a new book explaining what the government has done to our money.
And I don’t imagine it will be much longer before we can again post his great interviews at Antiwar Radio…
Both Scott and Charles are a credit to Antiwar.com.
I never listened to any talk radio program willingly until Antiwar Radio. The more Scott Hortons and Charles Goyettes out there the better.
The CIA infiltrated the major media years ago. Most all of the major market Radio & TV stations are owned by corporate conglomerates who act in concert with the government’s plans. Truth is the last thing that they want to broadcast…
Fear not, folks. Radio, as we know it, will very soon go the way of the MSM printed editions. Terrestrial radio stinks so I got XM a few years ago. I’d rate it, at best, a C-. When it merged with Serius and, boy wonder, Mel Karmazin took over it has dropped to a solid F. But salvation is on the way. Internet radio will soon be widely available in cars. When that happens, the radio business will tank. Just look at, and follow, the stock prices of the radio companies. When an alternative is widely available, even the morons that listen to Limbaugh, Hannity, and AIR AMERICA will be able to listen to programs on antiwar radio. Remember what the web did to newspapers. Internet radio will kill today’s radio!
For a great Music station check out Pandora (just google it). You type in your favorite band, song, or genra and create your own music station. It’s intuitive so you give the next songs that follow either a thumbs up or a thumbs down. It learns from your choice and plays the music you like. You can create as many stations as you would like. It’s free and you don’t even need a very high speed connection at all. (I am not connected with this site other than as a fan) If your looking for a very fun and easy way to listen to your favorite music this is amazing. Crank it up and let it go, it will play one song after another all day long with no commercials or problems. I have gotten a bunch of my friends hooked on it. I downsize it and then check my e-mail then Anti-war and LewRockwell. It keeps me from turning on the boobtube.
Peace!
