Ron Paul: We’re Losing Afghanistan. Can We Win?

President Trump summoned his generals and experts to the “situation room” at the White House late last month. He was furious that there was no plan to win Afghanistan and that after 16 years we were, in his words, “losing” in Afghanistan. What can be done? Some told him to send in many more troops. Others told him to pull out troops. The big mercenary companies want the war privatized to them. Perhaps the real problem is that no one knows what “winning” the war could possibly look like. No one in Washington has a clue.

Trump Signs Sanctions Bill – Another Deep State Victory

With the new Russia sanctions bill passed and signed into law, President Trump’s room to improve relations with Russia is nearly non-existent. He will not be able to remove the sanctions without permission from Congress, and that is unlikely to come. This is exactly what the deep state desires. Official enemies, to keep the money flowing to the military-industrial complex, which is their lifeblood. Of course they suck all of our blood and they spill blood across the globe…

Trump’s US National Security Strategy – New Wine In Old Bottles?

In a recent interview, Sebastian Gorka, an aide to President Trump, denounced “stale thinking” on national security policy over the past 30 years. He said that the White House was working on a new National Security Strategy for the United States that would reject the old “extremes” of neoconservative interventionism on one hand and libertarian “isolationism” on the other. It is quite interesting that he chose to single out non-interventionism (which is not “isolationism”) for criticism as if it had been attempted and failed over the past three decades. Why the strawman? Because this “new” strategy is being drawn up by neocons who dominate Trump’s foreign policy and national security staff. They know their brand is damaged so they are trying to pretend that they are coming out with a whole new batch of wine. But check the bottles…

Ron Paul on Real Bipartisanship: Republicans and Democrats Unite for New Cold War

Donald Trump claimed that he wanted a different foreign policy, but then he went and hired neocons for the State Department, Pentagon, White House, and so on. In the meantime, both Republicans and Democrats have found something to agree on: a new Cold War with Russia. Is it just impossible to change our foreign policy? Israel Anti-Boycott Act – An Attack on Free Speech

A widely-supported bill in the House and Senate would make it a felony to support or endorse efforts to boycott the state of Israel over its policies toward the Palestinians. Conviction could result in a maximum $250,000 civil fine plus a $1,000,000 criminal fine and 20 years in prison. Regardless of one’s views of the Israel/Palestine conflict, the right to boycott anything, anywhere for political reasons is political speech protected by the First Amendment of our Constitution. Will Congress succeed in overthrowing this fundamental principle upon which our republic was founded? We take a good look at the issue in today’s Liberty Report:

Ron Paul Tells President Trump: Veto This Bill! – Sanctions Lead To War

The US House is expected to vote tomorrow on yet another round of sanctions on Russia, North Korea, and Iran. Russia and Iran are targeted for their role in fighting ISIS and al-Qaeda in Syria and Iraq, which Congress calls “destabilizing.” Russia is also targeted for its involvement in the 2014 Ukrainian coup d’etat, which was in fact started by the United States under the Obama Administration! Will President Trump veto this bill, which will prohibit him from removing the sanctions without Congressional permission? He’s leaning toward signing it, in what looks like a big surrender to the deep state..
