The Russo Ukraine war just passed 500 days.

Most folks know oodles of acronyms. FBI, AARP, GOP, ACLU, POTUS, are among dozens used endlessly. But one acronym is little known due to both citizen apathy of US perpetual wars, and intentional governmental silence: ATACMS.
It’s not very catchy and does not sound ominous, but it surely is. It stands for Army Tactical Missile Systems.
On May 18, 2022, former President George W. Bush said in a speech: “The decision of one man to launch a brutal and unjustified war in Iraq…I mean Ukraine.”
Wednesday, President Joe Biden, who as Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee greased the skids for Bush’s "brutal and unjustified war in Iraq," said that Russian President Putin is “clearly losing the war in Iraq.” Biden one-upped W by making that boo-boo twice. Bravo for the Swiss government for vetoing plan to send 96 German tanks to Ukraine to simply get blown apart by Russian artillery. Tanking Swiss tanks for Ukraine follows their earlier refusal to allow Germany to release Swiss make anti-aircraft ordinance held in German stockpiles to Ukraine.

Illinois 5th District Mike Quigley, in his Sun Times op-ed "U.S. must ramp up arms production for Ukraine to send a message to foes of democracy" reveals his total support of US weapons manufacturers who are reaping the benefits of all those political donations sent his way.
Quigley flunks basic history when he poses the Russo Ukraine war as democracy v. authoritarianism. Neither Ukraine nor America showed any interest in democracy when both conspired to overthrow democratically elected president Victor Yanukovych in 2014. The US inspired and supported the coup which was a criminal war against Ukrainian democracy.

Too many of my progressive comrades have been on board US/NATO’s $100 billion plus giveaway of weapons to keep the Russo-Ukraine war going in perpetuity.
One reason is political. If Democrats leaders support it, which nearly 100% do, they support it. Chalk that up to political tribalism.
