US Warmongers Rule on Offense Budget Talks

A sign how America keeps descending into the madness of perpetual war on full display in the 24/7 coverage of Biden-McCarthy budget talks to avoid a financial meltdown.

Every dollar sliced from the budget comes from domestic spending, woefully inadequate before the cuts, to reinvigorate America’s declining living standard. But McCarthy gave Biden every one of the $886 billion he wanted to ramp up US proxy war on Russia, and push China into a possible nuclear confrontation over Taiwan. That’s not defense folks, so let’s call it what it is…offense, offense, offense. Some of that squandered dough will add to America’s 835 overseas bases with new ones is Finland, Syria and Iraq. That’s roughly 4 bases for each of the other 194 world countries.

Biden’s Foreign Policy: Most Dangerous in My Lifetime?

Joe Biden is the 15th president in my 79 years. I’ve followed the foreign policy of all but FDR. Only missed his presidential exploits because I was just 33 days old when he died.

But took an interest in the second, Harry Truman, when mom and pop explained WWII and the current Korean War to me in 1951. Still remember the brouhaha when Truman fired Gen. Douglas McArthur during the latter. Why would the president fire such a revered war hero? Must be a bad president, I thought. Years later I found out how right he was to do so. McArthur was hell bent on nuking China for entering the war against the US.

Pentagon Keeping America Safe… Blowing Up Syrian Sheepherder Father of 10

Lotifi Hassan Misto was going about his business herding sheep in Syria’s Idlib province May 18 when a US drone strike blew him to smithereens.

Pentagon officials immediately announced we killed an al-Qaeda leader bent on terrorizing the homeland. That could well have been a recorded response that has been played hundreds, maybe thousands of times since the War of Terror began 22 years ago this September.

West Suburban Peace Coalition Deconstructs America’s 835 Overseas Military Bases at May 16 Educational Forum

World Beyond War’s Technical Directory Marc Eliot Stein gave a stunning presentation on America’s massive web of worldwide military bases last night via Zoom. Eliot displayed his amazing digital presentation showing these installations on every continent. The map zoomed in to show the actual base, while providing information regarding its size, number of staff and year created.

His talk discussed why we have so many bases, how we accumulated such a massive reach just about everywhere except within our imagined enemies, and the devastating danger that ringing those so called enemies with offensive resources may easily spiral into nuclear war.

Chicago Tribune’s ‘Evil Men’ View of Global Disputes Adds No Value to Sensible Conflict Resolution

The Chicago Tribune Editorial Board’s latest take on Russia and North Korea: "Putin’s global public enemy No. 1, but don’t forget the danger Kim Jong Un brings" begs an intriguing question. If Putin is global public enemy No. 1, why is virtually the entire world outside of NATO, either neutral or siding with Russia in the Russo Ukraine war?

Since that war began 14 months ago, Russia has consolidated vastly expanded economic and political relationships with China and India, representing over a third of our planet’s 8 billion souls. Most of Africa, Latin America and much of Asia shares that view as well. Outside of the other 30 NATO countries, support for US sanctions and weapons, designed to defeat Russia’s invasion, is nil. Could it be that vast list of countries views the US as global public enemy No. 1? After invading and destroying Iraq and Afghanistan, exacerbating civil wars in Yemen, Somalia, Niger, Syria and Libya, and fomenting regime change worldwide, the US certainly deserves consideration for that title.

Gaetz to Biden: Reveal Your Ukraine War Ops

Florida representative Matt Gaetz introduced a resolution requiring President Biden to reveal how many US special forces are in Ukraine and release all documents on US assistance to Ukraine as part of America’s proxy war against Russia.

This resolution likely won’t pass because Democrats are 100% behind perpetual war, but it’s important to raise the issue as the US appears to be barreling toward confrontation with Russia that may end up in mushroom clouds. Outside of a few NATO diehards like Poland, most of the world is promoting negotiations instead of weapons to end this calamitous war.
