Congressman Gaetz and Senator Vance Probe State Department’s Role in Ukraine ‘Enemies List’

News release from Rep. Matt Gaetz office:

Washington, D.C. — Today, U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-01) and U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) sent a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken requesting information about a State Department-linked Ukrainian NGO that published a list of Americans, labeled as “Trumpists to Communists” and including 116 Republican Representatives and 21 Republican Senators, who oppose further spending on Ukraine.

Last week, Texty.org.ua, a Ukrainian non-governmental organization founded and led by a State Department-sponsored individual, published a database listing American activists, media personalities, news outlets, and politicians opposed to providing more American taxpayer dollars to Ukraine. The letter requests that Secretary Blinken provide information regarding the use of U.S. taxpayer money by the State Department to target sitting Members of Congress based on their votes against further funding for Ukraine.

Merchants of Death War Crimes Tribunal: Closing Argument with International Lawyer Richard Falk

The Merchants of Death War Crimes Tribunal is holding accountable – through video testimony of witnesses – U.S. weapons manufacturers who produce and sell products which attack and kill not only combatants but non-combatants as well. Each week the Tribunal issues a new video segment offering evidence of guilt for the commission of War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity.

In this video episode, the Tribunal provides its closing argument to the judges with a summation of U.S. militarism and corporate malfeasance given by renowned lawyer Richard Falk. Mr. Falk is a professor emeritus at Princeton University and has written over 20 books on international law, arms control, and the United Nations. This episode concludes all the evidence presented by the Tribunal. The judges will deliberate on the evidence provided since November 12, 2023 and will render a verdict at the end of June. That verdict will be video recorded and made available to the public and all the viewing members of this tribunal.

A Saudi Treaty Is a Dangerous Trap

The Biden administration won’t give up on one of the worst ideas in the world:

The Biden administration is close to finalizing a treaty with Saudi Arabia that would commit the U.S. to help defend the Gulf nation as part of a long-shot deal to encourage diplomatic ties between Riyadh and Israel, U.S. and Saudi officials said.

But the success of the diplomatic effort hinges on Israel’s commitment to a separate Palestinian state, and more immediately an end to the war in Gaza, an unlikely proposition amid months of fruitless cease-fire talks and an Israeli weekend raid to retrieve hostages from the heart of the territory.

What Does Pushkin Have To Do With D-Day?

Those familiar with the great Russian poet Aleksandr Pushkin’s biography would assume that the connection is his birthday date, June 6, the same as the beginning of the Normandy landing. But, as will be explained later, the connection is much deeper.

Given the growing threat that the Ukrainian conflict might escalate into nuclear WWIII, those looking for ways to avoid Armageddon suggested using the celebration of the 80th anniversary of D-Day to start the dialogue in search of peace. Indeed, Russia, at the time USSR, was an ally in the Battle of Normandy, shoring up the Eastern Front. However, when French President Macron hinted in May at the possibility of inviting Russia to attend the June 6 ceremony, it was immediately rejected by Washington and London. One should recall that British PM Boris Johnson, obviously in consultation with Joe Biden, prohibited Zelensky from signing the Stambul March 2022 Peace Accords. Signing would stop the war and save hundreds of thousands of lives, homes, and infrastructure, but it was sabotaged.
