Following yet another United States veto of a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for a cessation of hostilities in Gaza, members of the U.N. General Assembly voted overwhelmingly Wednesday in favor of an “immediate, unconditional, and permanent cease-fire” in the Palestinian enclave, where Israeli forces continued relentless attacks that killed dozens more Palestinians, including numerous children.
The veto by the United States, a permanent Security Council member, came during an emergency special session and was the lone dissenting vote on the 15-member body. It was the fourth time since October 2023 that the Biden administration vetoed a Security Council resolution on a Gaza cease-fire.
On today’s Ron Paul Liberty Report:
Just as in Libya (and Iraq), the “liberation” of Syria from the rule of Assad has unleashed mass murder and mayhem. Is this a regime-change bug… or a feature? Also today: Neocons for the win?

Last week, a senior Biden administration official anonymously reported to the Associated Press that the administration was pressing Ukraine to lower the conscription age from 25 to 18. Days later, Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed this, stating, “Look, these are very hard decisions, and I fully understand and respect that. But for example, getting younger people into the fight, we think, many of us think is necessary. Right now, 18- to 25-year-olds are not in the fight. And making sure that people are there – not just the weapons, not just the munitions, not just the money, but mobilized forces – is also essential to success.”
The reason for this push is something that has been clear for many months and is now being admitted by even the most staunchly pro-Ukrainian outlets: Ukraine is simply running out of men. The implications of this ought to be horrifying. The size of their armed forces started at around 200,000 men in active duty, supported by 900,000 reservists. Since then, they’ve drafted more than 1,000,000 men, and they’ve already lowered the draft age from 27 to 25. Also stark, the average age of the Ukrainian fighter went from low 30’s to over 40 in 2023. Further admissions on both morale and manpower have seeped through the propaganda. Kyiv has admitted that over 100,000 soldiers have been charged with desertion since the beginning of the war, and that troops are grappling with exceedingly low morale.

Al-Qaeda’s Takeover in Syria: Truth Behind the Headlines!
Al-Qaeda’s recent control over Syria marks a significant shift in the region, and we need to unpack its implications. While mainstream media may portray this as a victory for freedom and justice, the reality is far more complex. The rise of HTS (Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham) has deep roots in Al-Qaeda ideology, with its leader Al Jolani having been inspired by anti-American sentiments.
Kyle delves into how HTS rebranded itself to gain Western acceptance while maintaining ties to extremist ideologies. We will explore the true nature of this group and what it means for both Syria and American interests moving forward.
My friend lives in Damascus. I will call him Qusay to protect his identity. Qusay was born and grew up in Aleppo and still has family there. He is a high-level translater and university professor. From his family he learned what unfolded in Aleppo following the invasion beginning November 27. He personally witnessed events in Damascus where he still is. The following is what Qusay told me about events in Syria over the past 12 days.
Overthrow of Aleppo
The march and overthrow of Aleppo was done by Syrian and many foreign fighters supplied and backed by Turkish intelligence and military. Syrian military communications were jammed using electronic warfare. The invaders used drones for surveilling and attacking Syria forces. The jihadists were trained in the use of drones by NATO-funded Ukrainians. Turkey and other NATO forces supplied the drones and all sorts of other advanced weaponry. They had tanks in addition to machine gun mounted trucks and other vehicles.
