OpenAI Cuts ‘Military and Warfare’ Ban From Permissible Use Policy

ChatGPT maker OpenAI this week quietly removed language from its usage policy that prohibited military use of its technology, a move with serious implications given the increase use of artificial intelligence on battlefields including Gaza.

ChatGPT is a free tool that lets users enter prompts to receive text or images generated by AI.The Intercept‘s Sam Biddle reported Friday that prior to Wednesday, OpenAI’s permissible uses page banned “activity that has high risk of physical harm, including,” specifically, “weapons development” and “military and warfare.”

Open Your Eyes to Genocide in Gaza, Congressman Casten

In Congressman Casten’s worldview, foreign policy, foreign wars including genocide in Gaza, are topics that dare not speak their name in Illinois’ 6th District.

Don’t Forget What Dr. King Taught – That Violence Begets Violence

There’s nothing more important on this Martin Luther King Jr. Day than to remember our nation’s preeminent civil rights hero’s greatest but possibly most ignored insight (at least since the U.S. launched its series of post 9-11 “wars on terror”):

Hate begets hate; violence begets violence; toughness begets a greater toughness. We must meet the forces of hate with the power of love…

Biden’s Yemen Attacks Fail To ‘De-Escalate’ Red Sea Tensions

On today’s Ron Paul Liberty Report:

As could have been predicted, several rounds of US and allied airstrikes on Yemen have failed to “de-escalate” tensions with the Houthis, who have declared that they would halt shipping to and from Israeli ports in response to Tel Aviv’s destruction of Gaza. In a bind, what will Biden do? Also today… Netanyahu tells the truth. Finally: US watched as American journalist died in Ukrainian dungeon.

The Gaza Catastrophe: Is It a Genocide?

The Hamas-Israel War has devastated Gaza and displaced its people. It could result in expulsions in the West Bank over time. Is it a genocide?

In late December, South Africa filed a genocide case against Israel in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) arguing that Israel was in breach of its obligations under the 1948 Genocide Convention in its crackdown against Hamas in Gaza. Responding to South Africa’s suit, Israel’s foreign ministry blamed Hamas for the suffering of Palestinians by using them as human shields and stealing humanitarian aid from them, accusations that Hamas has denied.

Furthermore, the International Criminal Court (ICC), is separately investigating alleged atrocities in Gaza and the West Bank. However, Israel is not a member of the ICC and rejects its jurisdiction.
