Fears of Wider War as US, UK Bomb Yemen

The United States and United Kingdom on Thursday launched air and missile strikes on Yemen as part of the international effort to end Houthi rebels’ attacks on Red Sea shipping, with the armed group warning earlier that such aggression “will not go without response.”

Thursday’s U.S.-led attacks on Yemen fueled fears of a wider Middle East war amid Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza and escalating retaliation by Lebanon-based Hezbollah. Houthi forces—who have been waging a decadelong civil war against Yemen’s government and a Saudi-led coalition—began launching missiles and drones toward Israel and attacking shipping traffic in the Red Sea in response to Israel’s Gaza onslaught. Bring Our Troops Home: Vet Dan McKnight Shows Us How

On the latest episode of Deep Dive, ret. U.S. Army Lt. Col. Daniel L. Davis spoke with Sgt. Dan McKnight, a former U.S. Marine and Idaho National Guardsman and founder of Bring Our Troops Home.

Davis and McKnight discuss the founding of the organization, and why they believe more veterans are becoming involved in the movement to pull back on Washington’s chronic interventionism.

Particular focus is given to McKnight’s cornerstone project, the Defend the Guard Act, which just passed the New Hampshire House of Representatives. This bill would prohibit the deployment of National Guard units into active combat without a declaration of war from Congress.

McKnight reveals how activists can effectively achieve their goals in state legislatures in contrast to Capitol Hill, and what the next step is for the Defend the Guard movement.

Iran Takes Back Oil Stolen by US Neocon Heads Explode.

On today’s Ron Paul Liberty Report:

Iran has seized the exact cargo ship seized by the United States last year, raising the stakes in the Middle Eastern tinderbox. The US seized the ship and confiscated the million barrels of Iranian oil as a punishment for violation of US sanctions. Now the Iranians are likely to “get their oil back” from the exact same (renamed) ship, this time carrying Iraqi oil. Also today: US moves closer to seizing Russian assets and Speaker Johnson pledges the US to defend Taiwan.
